I am a seasoned (33 Years) Chemical Engineer and academic leader with a strong commitment to advancing engineering education, research, and industry collaboration in Pakistan. After completing a successful four-year tenure as Vice Chancellor of Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology (MCUT), Dera Ghazi Khan, I have resumed my duties at the University of the Punjab, where I serve as a Professor at the Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology and Professor at IEEE.
Throughout my career, I have held several prestigious academic and administrative roles, including Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Director of the Institute of Energy & Environmental Engineering (IEEE), Director ORIC, University of the Punjab, Lahore and Member Elect (2018–21) of the Governing Body of the Pakistan Engineering Council.
Currently, I also serve voluntarily as Member Executive Council of Pakistan Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE), a national platform dedicated to the professional growth of chemical engineers. I have also been an editor of two research journals, and the founder and chief organizer of the Symposium on Engineering Sciences and the International Conference on Engineering Sciences held at the University.
In addition to my academic contributions, I also deliver lectures, professional trainings, and provide consultancy services to the local industry. My efforts have been recognized through awards and scholarships, reflecting my dedication to excellence in research, innovation, and capacity building.
