I am a Full Professor of Environmental Science with over 15 years of experience leading environmental research, laboratory-based investigations, and industrial environmental projects in water treatment, environmental pollution, nanotechnology, and environmental remediation. Throughout my academic and research career, I have supervised more than 50 Ph.D. students and numerous M.Sc. candidates, directing multidisciplinary research projects that involve advanced laboratory equipment and environmental analytical techniques.
My hands-on technical experience includes operating and optimizing High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC and HPLC-FLD), LC-MS analytical systems, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, photocatalytic reactor systems, adsorption and fixed-bed experimental units, electrodialysis reversal (EDR) and reverse osmosis (RO) pilot systems, and bioflocculation and microalgae harvesting systems used in environmental and water treatment research. I have also worked extensively with environmental monitoring equipment for assessing soil, water, sediment, and wastewater quality.
My responsibilities have included laboratory setup, experimental design, equipment operation, method optimization, performance verification, troubleshooting of analytical procedures, quality assurance, data interpretation, and supervision of research personnel. As Principal Investigator on multiple industry-funded projects, including wastewater treatment package implementation, advanced solid waste management, wetland pollution monitoring, and bioflocculation technologies, I coordinated multidisciplinary teams and ensured reliable operation of laboratory and pilot-scale systems.
In addition to laboratory work, I have extensive experience training graduate students, researchers, and technical staff in the safe and effective use of specialized environmental laboratory equipment and analytical methods. I have delivered numerous professional workshops, supervised laboratory instruction, developed research methodologies, and authored university-level textbooks and technical references in environmental science, nanotechnology, water treatment, and research methods that are widely used for education and professional training.
My expertise is complemented by extensive experience using environmental modeling and data analysis software, including QUAL2K, ArcGIS, SimaPro, SPSS, SigmaPlot, enabling the integration of laboratory measurements with environmental modeling and decision-support systems. I am committed to maintaining high standards of laboratory quality, technical training, and research excellence in environmental and industrial applications.
