Dr. Andi Hermansyah is a distinguished Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia. With nearly two decades of experience in academia and clinical practice, he has established himself as a national and international authority in Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Policy, and Health Services Research. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and the Head of the Innovative Pharmacy Practice and Integrated Outcomes (INACORE) Research Group

His career is primarily academic and clinical. However, his expertise bridges the gap between scientific theory and industrial/medical application, such as in the Medical & Scientific Systems (Expertise in implementing and optimizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Pharmacy. This includes the development and evaluation of mobile health applications and telecare-based systems designed to enhance interprofessional collaboration and patient medication adherence), Pharmacy Operations & Management (As the Manager for Quality Education and Business Development at the university’s community pharmacy outlet, he oversees the integration of specialized pharmaceutical equipment and software required for modern clinical services and value-added pharmaceutical care) and Public Health & Policy Troubleshooting (He is recognized for the ability to analyze and "troubleshoot" complex healthcare policy challenges, particularly regarding Universal Healthcare Coverage, Pharmacoeconomics, and Pharmacy Law and Ethics)

His key projects & contributions such as Telecare & Interprofessional Collaboration (he successfully led research on randomized-controlled trials for telecare strategies in tuberculosis treatment), Global Health Standards (he acted as a speaker for the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), contributing to global goals for 2030 and discussing challenges in the implementation of remuneration services for community pharmacy), Educational Innovation (he authored several proprietary pharmacy education products and curriculum redesigns to modernize pharmacist training in Indonesia(

He also has a robust record of developing training programs and technical manuals aimed at elevating the standards of the pharmacy workforce, such as Curriculum Development (Redesigned the pharmacy curriculum to align with the national "Merdeka Belajar" program, focusing on flexible learning and practical competency), Staff Training (Developed and delivered training for community pharmacists on subjects ranging from Tuberculosis medication management to the use of mobile apps for health monitoring) and Technical Publications (Authored over 80 refereed publications and four books/chapters, serving as the "manuals" for modern pharmacy practice in Southeast Asia)
