About

I am a materials scientist and academic with nearly two decades of experience in nanomaterials, printed electronics, and sustainable manufacturing technologies, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad and Founder of QuantuMaTech. My expertise bridges academic research, industrial R&D, and entrepreneurial innovation, focusing on the development of graphene, 2D materials, quantum dots, and nanocomposites for next-generation applications.

I have hands-on experience with nanomaterials synthesis and processing tools such as CVD systems, thin-film deposition, laser structuring, and electrospinning, alongside 3D printing and laser engraving platforms for prototyping of advanced devices. My analytical skill set covers spectroscopy (Raman, UV–Vis–NIR), microscopy (SEM, AFM), electrical/optical characterization, and device testing. These have been applied in projects ranging from flexible and printed sensors, intelligent optoelectronic devices, and energy storage solutions to radiation shielding and coatings for aerospace applications.

Internationally, I have worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Manchester (Graphene Flagship, UK) and as a Nanomaterials Scientist at QuantumBase Ltd (UK), contributing to projects on quantum encryption tags, printed electronics, and device reliability testing. I have collaborated widely with global research institutions in the UK, EU, China, South Korea, and Turkey, and my portfolio includes research grants, peer-reviewed publications, and active roles as reviewer and evaluator for international funding bodies.

Beyond research, I integrate sustainability and occupational safety into my work, with initiatives in solar-powered living systems, aquaponics, and circular economy-driven material reuse. At QuantuMaTech, I am building a platform to commercialize advanced materials and printed electronics, targeting aerospace, renewable energy, and secure electronics sectors.

My dual academic–entrepreneurial perspective allows me to serve as both a scientist and innovator, with the ability to translate lab-scale discoveries into scalable, industry-ready solutions. I actively contribute to capacity-building by mentoring students, training professionals, and creating educational content and technical manuals to expand the ecosystem of sustainable, nanomaterials-driven technologies.
