Prof. Dr. Aneela Anwar, a distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemistry UET, has earned numerous accolades for being a teacher, researcher, entrepreneur and philanthrope par excellence. She has more than 21 years rich teaching, training, research and administrative experience. Her exceptional journey is studded with innumerable prestigious honors and accomplishments, including Fulbright Postdoc Fellowship USA, IDB High Merit PhD Scholarship (UCL, UK), the Roll of Honor during her Bachelor of Studies (Queen Mary College), a distinction in her Master's degree at UET, Lahore, Best PhD Abstract Award from the IDB High Merit Scholarship at Cambridge and the Best Presenter Award at the International Conference on Materials Sciences and Nanomaterials Cambridge, UK. She has published national and international patents and research publications in the field of nanotechnology, particularly in the areas of environmental sustainability, climate change, energy innovation, and healthcare advancement and has a UK Patent to her credit. Twice, she has won PUAN Chapter Activity on Nanotechnological solutions to combat climate change.

During her tenure as Chairperson, she spearheaded the development of state-of-the-art research labs and introduced both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Her active role in curriculum development and as PI in securing National and International research projects funded by World Bank, HEC, industries, and her involvement in the Pakistan Climate Resilience Research Coordination Network under HESSA Program USAID, contribution as esteemed cohort of LCOY Pakistan Ambassadors, official member for Environment and energy research group under Fulbright Pakistan US Alumni Network underscore her commitment to addressing pressing issues. She worked closely with industrial collaborators and expertise in fabrication and analysis using SEM, XRD, TEM, FTIR, UV Visible etc. She got yet another feather in her cap when she was awarded the prestigious the King's Award for Excellence 2024 London which is a testament to her exceptional prowess in nanotechnology research, marked by profound contributions in addressing pressing global challenges, including climate change, and advancing innovations in environmental and healthcare applications. She also received Emerging Leader Award 2024 for Outstanding Contributions and Leadership in the field of Education, Pakistan-US Alumni Network (PUAN).

Recently, she has been selected for the Aspiring Leaders Cohort 2 of Michigan State University USA for her outstanding achievement in securing a place among 100 women leaders. Dr Anwar chaired the International Women Leadership Conference, receiving the Women Leadership Award 2023. Besides being a part of the Women Leadership Program organized by NAHE, HEC in collaboration with the British Council where she developed a Women Leadership Forum and organized a series of training under these prestigious programs, she is also a Council member for Women in Science Foundation, Convener Standing Committee, Academia-Industrial Linkages, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Director NanoFab International, Ambassador, Fikr e Iqbal Forum and an active member of the Aspire group Pakistan. As a budding entrepreneur, she has successfully commercialized nanocosmetic products. The amazing success story of her life has crisply been published in 101 Incredible Women of Power, Pakistan.
